Making the Case
2026 | Making The Case For Marvin Harrison Jr.
✅ Elite Prospect
✅ Early-Declare
✅ Top-5 NFL Draft Pick
✅ Underrated YR2
✅ Injury-Deflated Outlook
✅ Fantasy-Friendly Environment
✅ Entering His Prime
✅ Drops Don’t Matter
There was once a time where Marvin Harrison Jr. was overvalued.
That time is NOT now.
Let me tell you why.
For starters – Marvin Harrison Jr. was an ELITE collegiate prospect.
He posted over 1,200 receiving yards as both a sophomore & junior.
& is 1 of just 4 Big-10 WR’s to post 1,250+ yards in one of their first 2 seasons (along with Jeremiah Smith, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, & Rondale Moore).
The only RD1 WR prospects in the past 5 years with a higher career YPRR:
- Ja’Marr Chase
- Jaylen Waddle
- Devonta Smith
- CeeDee Lamb
- Jaxon Smith-Njigba
- (Makai Lemon)
Harrison also had the 3rd highest career TPRR (2.83) amongst over 30 RD1 WR’s in that timeframe.
Marv was so good in 3 NCAA seasons that he declared-early for the NFL & was drafted Top-5.
The only other early-declares to get drafted Top-10 in the past decade?
- Amari Cooper
- Jaylen Waddle
- Ja’Marr Chase
- Drake London
- Garrett Wilson
- Malik Nabers
- *Travis Hunter
- Tetairoa McMillan
- Carnell Tate
Marv was solid as a rookie (62/885/8 on 116 targets) – on an offense than ranked 22nd in passing attempts.
& he was having a much better YR2 than people want to give him credit for…
Marv was the WR28 in PPG through WK13 last year before suffering an injury & playing less than 50% of the snaps the last 2 games.
& that’s including another game where played less than 25% of the snaps (WK6); he was the WR20 in PPG (13.3) through WK13 if you remove that game.
& the team only averaged 32.4 attempts per-game in 5 games with Kyler Murray (which ranked in the bottom-half of the league).
Marv only got to play 3 full games with Jacoby Brissett before getting injured.
& he out-targeted Michael Wilson in all 3 of those games.
He actually out-targeted Wilson in all 10 of the full games they played in together last year.
In the 3 full games with Brissett – Marv had 6, 10, & 12 targets (9.3 targets/game – or a full-season pace of 158 targets – which would’ve ranked Top-5 at the WR position last year).
“MHJ” is still a very good player (80th, 48th, & 77th percentile vs Man, Zone, & Press – via Reception Perception).

& he was the clear alpha anytime he & Michael Wilson were on the field together.
If Arizona throws the ball anywhere near as often as last year (they led the league in attempts with Brissett under center) – it will easily be the most fantasy-friendly environment of Marv’s career.
Yet – he’s the cheapest he’s ever been.
Marv is priced as just the WR34 in redraft & WR24 in Dynasty.
Despite the fact he’s just about to enter his prime…
Historically – WR’s continue to progress through YR3.
YR3 is actually a Top-3 most-productive season in a WR’s career – on average.

Have patience!
Worried about Marv’s drops this offseason?
Don’t be.
Drops are actually negatively correlated with future fantasy points.
The players who have the most drops are typically the ones who score the most points.

The bottom-line is – we have a historically great WR prospect, entering his prime, in the most fantasy-friendly situation of his career – priced lower than he’s ever been.
I would be targeting him as your WR3 in redraft – as he projects as a WR2 & has a real shot at finishing as a WR1.
In dynasty – I would look to offload an aging vet like Devonta Smith (who turns 28 in November) for him; you may even be able to get a plus on top.
I’d also add a small plus to riskier WR’s priced below him (like Parker Washington, KC Concepcion).
This may be your last opportunity to “BUY-LOW.”
