- ACQUIRE STUDS
Dynasty is no different than any other fantasy football format – at it’s core.
The goal is to acquire studs who score the most points.
YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME.
The most valuable assets in dynasty are the ones with the longest shelf-lives.
Foundational QB’s with 10-year shelf-lives are rightfully considered the “crown jewels.”
The first round of dynasty startups is dominated by these same QB’s year-over-year, so once you acquire them, don’t let them go.
WR’s are considered the next best “building block” because they have longer shelf lives than RB’s & don’t get hurt as often.
Comparing the positions:
– 48% of WR’s avoid injury each year
– 28.5% of RB’s avoid injury each year
1/2 of the WR’s drafted in fantasy will avoid injury.
But less than 1/3 of the RB’s drafted in fantasy will avoid injury.
Consider QB’s & WR’s your “foundational” pieces & build around them first.
