Every year there’s a late-round QB who blows up & finishes Top-5.

This year – it’s Jaxson Dart.

Let me tell you why.

For starters – Jaxson Dart was a highly-recruited player.

4-Stars (94 Prospect Grade).

He was the 2020 Gatorade National Player of the Year as a Senior in HS; broke the Utah state record with 67 passing TD’s as a Senior.

Dart also played immediately as a true freshman – making 3 starts for USC & throwing for 1,353 yards on the year.

He then transferred to Ole Miss & started in 3-consecutive seasons.

Dart was also HIGHLY-productive as a starter at Ole Miss.

& he increased his production every year.

From 1,353 yards as a freshman.
To 2,974 yards as a sophomore.
To 3,364 yards as a junior.
To 4,279 yards as a senior.

Dart finished 3rd in the NCAA in passing yards in 2024 – & he led the NCAA in Y/A (10.8), more than a full yard ahead of the 2nd place finisher (9.5).

Dart also improved his completion percentage every year.

From 61.9% as a freshman.
To 62.4% as a sophomore.
To 65.1% as a junior.
To 69.3% as a senior.

Dart somehow managed to finish 7th in the NCAA in completion percentage as a senior – despite also ranking Top-5 in ADOT (11.9).

Dart also ranked Top-10 in big-time throw percentage (7.1%).

Despite his aggressive nature – Dart ranked 18th out of 98 QB’s in turnover-worthy throw percentage (2.2%).

He was PFF’s highest-graded passer in 2024 (91.9 PFF Passing Grade).

Dart’s aggressive mentality as a passer makes him a very fantasy-friendly asset; Dart also ranked Top-10 in ADOT (8.8) amongst NFL QB’s as a rookie – despite his top target being 5’9” slot-WR Wan’Dale Robinson.

Dart had the 4th-highest big-time throw percentage (5.2%) in the NFL as a rookie – just ahead of:

• Drake Maye (4.9%)
• Trevor Lawrence (4.9%)
• Baker Mayfield (4.8%)
• Dak Prescott (4.8%)
• Josh Allen (4.7%)
• Caleb Williams (4.7%)

Most importantly – Jaxson Dart is a highly capable & willing rusher.

In 3 NCAA seasons as starter, Dart rushed for:

Dart averaged a solid .178 MTF/attempt for his collegiate career.

As an NFL rookie – Dart posted 84/487/9 rushing in 12 starts.

A full-season pace of: 119/689/13

The only other QB’s in NFL History to post 8+ rushing TD’s as a rookie are Cam Newton & Josh Allen.

& Dart only started 12 games.

Jaxson Dart averaged a full 7 rushing attempts per-game as a rookie.

Which more than qualifies him as a “Konami Code” QB.

(min. 5.5 attempts/game).

More rushing attempts = more fantasy points.

Now – Dart gets Malik Nabers…

When you combine Dart’s elite rushing profile, aggressive nature as a passer, & incoming weapons upgrade – it becomes very clear that he’s about to take off.

He has the rare potential to pass for 4,000+ yards AND post 100+ rushing attempts.

Dart already averaged 20.5 PPG as a rookie – just .6 PPG less than Drake Maye (21.1) last year. Dart could legitimately outscore him in 2026. He’s my 2026 “late-round” QB Flag-Plant.
